The Contender Asia is coming to Malaysia

Malaysia was awarded the bid to act as host country for season two of hit reality TV series The Contender Asia.

The Contender Asia is produced by Imagine OmniMedia in partnership with Mark Burnett (godfather of reality TV and producer of hit reality shows such as Survivor, Apprentice, Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader) in conjunction with Dreamworks SKG and OSYS Group Sdn. Bhd.

Season one was the largest reality TV Production in Asia, which created a new benchmark in production quality for Asia. It was also the first Asian TV production to be aired prime time in the U.S., Australia, Asia and Europe, reaching a global audience of 400 million viewers.

Production on season two will begin at the end of June in Kuala Lumpur, and the show’s producers are upping the prize money from that offered on season one, making it the highest prize money ever to be paid out in the sport of muaythai.
